Grade 1/2 News, Term 4

This term our whole school focus is 'diversity'.  Level 2 has choosen to discuss diversity in relation to various ecosystems.  The ecosystems we have focussing on are rainforests, deserts, rivers and urban areas.  Our hope is that students will develop an understanding of the difference found in various ecosystems.  We are concerntrating on answering the following questions; What are the advantages of particular ecosystems?  Why are particular organisms better suited to an ecosystem? and How does symbiosis (the living together of unlike organisms) help an ecosystem?

In week 4 students investigated the Yarra River ecosystem.  Here are some photos that they took.
