classroom information : grade 3/4

This term the children are studying various thinking tools as well as Blooms’ taxonomy in order to gain a deeper understanding of how they think. They will be involved in many activities using creative thinking tools. We are also looking at the brain and how the brain works. The students will be making songs, plays and participating in experiments that demonstrate their understanding of how the brain works. The unit will culminate in a project where the students will be given a “Goodie Bag” of various materials and they have to use these materials to make a model.

Students will be involved in an excursion to Taskworks, a problems solving and drama centre and an incursion from the CSIRO to look at how robots are made to help them with their model making.
